Getting here by car

Once you've made your reservation you'll need to know how to find us. You'll see that we're quite easy to find; but please don't rely too much on your Sat-Nav, or you'll end up at the other side of the Heckmondwike!

Travelling By Train

The nearest regional train station is Dewsbury . The taxi journey takes 10-15 minutes and costs about £4-£5.

The nearest mainline railway station (London Kings Cross to Edinburgh) is Wakefield Westgate Station which is approximately 8 miles away. A taxi fare will cost about £10.

Hitch a Ride on a Bus

Heckmondwike is well serviced by buses from all the major cities in West Yorkshire including Leeds, Huddersfield, Wakefield and Bradford .

Bus Service 219 & 229 (Huddersfield to Leeds) stops off at the end of Smithies Lane on Station Lane which is a 10 minute walk from the Lakeside Restaurant, Service 254 (Wakefield to Leeds) stops off in the centre of Heckmondwike after which it's a 10-15 minute walk. Bus Service 268 (Bradford to Dewsbury) also passes through the centre of Heckmondwike.

Get on your Bike

Lakeside Restaurant is only a few minutes cycling time off the Spen Valley Greenway (leave at Station Lane exit) and is ideal for people who want to get to us by pedal power from both the South Bradford and Cleckheaton areas, Dewsbury or Mirfield.
